2022 May Malta - Italy

April - May 2022  a 4 week trip from Malta to Florence Italy.
We stayed 6 days in Malta, 10 days in Sicily, Taormina and Palermo.
From Palermo by Train to Naples for 8 days (with trips to the Amalfi Coast) and finally to Florence for 6 days, again by train. Pictures

2021 April, Maui, Hawai

Our Family get-together in Maui. Two weeks with many beach visits and driving to explore the Island including road to Hana and up to Haleakala.

2020 October, Whitefish, Montana

 2020 was the year of Civid-19, but we did make it to Whitefish, Montana for two weeks to get together with the kids and friends from Seattle.

2020 January, Mexico

2020 we did not go only to Puerto Vallarta, we spent the first two weeks of our winter get-away North of PV  in La Peñita de Jaltemba and explored near by beaches and towns. The last two weeks it was back to PV. Pictures

2019 October, Ireland

A two week trip with Tour Group SmarTours around Ireland, a few extra days on our own in Dublin. Pictures

2019 Norway, Stockholm, Iceland

A trip on our own to Oslo, Norway then by bus and train to Tronheim, Kristiansund, Alesund, Bergen and back to Oslo. Oslo - Stockholm by train. Iceland for 4 days doing the touristy sightseeing and back to Chicago.  Pictures

2019 March - Cruise Abu Dhabi - Singapore

A 3 week trip flying to Dubai and spending a few days there to explore, after to Abu Dhabi for the beginning of the cruise. 15 days cruising stopping in Oman, Mumbai, Goa, Cochin, Sri Lanka, Thailand and ending in Singapore. In Singapore we spent 4 days before flying back home.

2019 January - Puerto Vallarta Mexico

2019 - another year we spent a month during the winter in Puerto Vallarta. Our escape from the Chicago weather. Back to the same apartment, in the Romantic Zone, near the beach and all our favorite places. Pictures

A trip to Paris, Bruges, Antwerp, Mechelen, Brussels, Amsterdam. By train and car for 12 days Meinhard with Ari and Erik on the Beer Tour. Pictures.

2018 June - July Alaska by Ship and Land

A 3 week organized tour - Cruise - Land - Cruise. Vancouver to Skagway cruising. By land from Skagway to Whitehorse, Dawson, Fairbanks, Danali, Anchorage, Seward. Using Train, Bus, Plane and Cruisetrain. After that a 7 days cruise from Seward to Glacier Bay National Park, Haines, Juneau, Ketchikan and back to Vancouver.  Pictures

2018 April - May Portugal - Spain - France

Our 4 week Spring road trip.
Portugal: Lisbon - Lagos and Porto, including a trip on the Douro river.
Spain: Vigo, Santiago de Compostela, A'Coruna, Oviedo, Bilbao and San Sebastian.
France: Bordeaux and Paris.
We flew into Lisbon and then moved around by Train and Bus to Paris from where we returned by plane to Chicago.  Pictures Link

2017 Germany Wine - Mosel & Rhine

Our 3 week trip exploring Germany's wine region - Cologne, Aachen, the Mosel and Rhine ending up in Mainz and then Strasbourg. Pictures

 

2017 Australia and Fiji

This year we made it to Australia. The idea was to fly to Sydney and spent a week or more in the beautiful city. Well we did land in Sydney, for 10 days, but also went to the Red Center Ayers Rock and Alice Spring to see the rock "Uluru". We toke a three day tour with Intrepid Travel. After returning from the red center and a few days in Sidney we stopped in Fiji for a week, staying in the city of Nadi and doing some day trips by land and boat.

2017 Puerto Vallarta

In 2017we went again for the month of January to Puerto Vallarta, our escape from the Chicago winter. We stayed again in the Romantic Zone, right on the beach and all our favorite places. Pictures
